On March 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. ai$ March 16 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Cul* peper Memorial Hospital will offer a CPR course to the community.
Taught by Maryann Reynolds, RN, and assisted by Barbara Eggbom, RN, both certified basic life support instructors, the course will cover how to perform the following vital actions:
• Recognize a person in distress’. 1
• Act quickly and effectively to obtain help.
• Help a choking adult by performing the appropriate maneuver relieving a foreign body airway obstruction.
• Use the Emergency Medical Services System.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to help an adult who is not breathing and has no heartbeat.
The cost of the course is $30, anti attendance is required for both class sessions.
