“The epitome of world class popular pianism” is a phrase used to describe the technique and talent of Paul Smith, who, with bassist Jamels de Julio, will be appearing on Wednesday, March 29, at 8 p.m. in the Culpeper County High School Auditorium.
The Paul Smith Duo will be the third attraction in the current Community Concert Association series. Mr. Smith, bom and raised in San Diego, has had 42 years in show business — movies, stage, television and recording.
Only in recent years has he come into his own as an “overnight sensation” solo performer. Early years with the Andrews Sisters and the Tommy Dorsey Band were followed by time with the original Les Paul Trio.
