Harry Lewis

Harry Franklin Lewis, 43, of Sperryville died March 19 as the result of an automobile accident near Massies Corner.

Mr. Lewis was employed by Rappahannock Farmers Co-op.

He is survived by his father, Charles C. Lewis; one daughter, Heather Dunn; three brothers, Thomas Lewis, James Lewis and Charles Lewis; five sisters, Virginia Lewis, Harriet Lewis, Betsy Myles, Mae Proctor and Anna Allsberry; two aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville on March 23 at 12 p.m. with the Rev. U.S. Brokenburr officiating. Interment will be in the family section of the church cemetery.

W.C. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Enoch Nicholson

Enoch James “Jim” Nicholson, 64, of Columbia, S.C., formerly of Culpeper died March 15 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia, S.C.

Mr. Nicholson was born in Cumberland, Md., the son of the late Enoch W. Nicholson and Viola Nicholson Mills. He was a retired employee of the University of South Carolina, a War World II Army Air Force veteran where he served in the Pacific, a lifetime member of V. F.W., member of Lower Richland Masonic Lodge .466 AFM. He was also a charter member of Scottish Rites and Jamil Temple, a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 98. He was a member of Pine Bluff Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mazie E. Nicholson, Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Linda N. Howington and Norman “Bonnie” G. House, both of Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Florine Nicholson Kibler, Culpeper and Mrs. Irene Nicholson Kosco, Newport Richey, Fla.; three brothers, Charlie S. Mills Jr., Franklin, W. Va., John Robert Mills, Sperryville and Albert William Mills, Culpeper; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 17 at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C. Interment followed in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lexington, S.C.
