The Middle Street Gallery announces several events planned during the coming weeks.
Beginning Thursday, March 23, and continuing each week, an adult class on “Life Drawing” will meet from 7-9 p.m. The informal nature of this weekly session will make it easy for the artist who wishes to explore figure drawing on their own. A model will be provided, and each participant should bring his own supplies. The cost is $10 for each session.
On Frid;1’ Mar"1'! • nailery will host th- annual*.'• D,.-. ,ct Congressional Art Competition, sponsored by U.S. Rep. D. French Slaughter Jr., who also serves as the event’s honorary chairman. The exhibit will feature works by 25 winners from the 18 ^ county competitions, plus outstanding work by students at RCHS and Wakefield. The opening reception will be Friday, March 31 from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
A class on basic techniques of watercolor painting will be held at the gallery each Monday during April,
