Observing that Baldwin’s legal difficulties seemed to have been caused by having too much idle time on a weekend. Judge Foley ordered that his 30 days in jail be served on 15 consecutive weekends.
Judge Foley ordered that Baldwin contribute eight hours of community service on each charge for a total of 120 hours, and placed him on probation for 12 months on each charge.
The judge suspended Baldwin’s driver’s license for six months, and ordered that he enter the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) as a condition of his sentence.
Judge Foley also ordered the young man to pay $1,425.48 in restitution to the residents whose property was destroyed. Baldwin was also fined a total of $150 on the three driving charges, plus $640 in court costs, a total of $790 in fines and costs.
After receiving Baldwin’s plea, Judge Foley dismissed the felony charges of destruction of property belonging to a public utility, as well as the speeding charge placed by Trooper Keen.
