It is too bad that America’s agricultural experts have not been heard from in the recent uproar about Alar and other crop protection chemicals. These experts, in addition to providing worthwhile appraisals on all these topics, could make it interesting, if TV and the newspapers , knew how to present it.
The claims of Meryl Streep, Ralph Nader and “Sixty Minutes” are of no value. Their expertise has never been explained. There is better information to be had than this, and the public should be getting it.
