“An Environmental Assessment covering the proposed expansion of the Simmons Gap housing site is available for public review,” announced Superintendent J.W. Wade.
The park proposes to replace the temporary trailers now being used to house park employees with permanent facilities. The Simmons Gap facility is located at Milepost 73.2 on Skyline Drive. Public comments are welcome until April 3 when the public comment period ends.
