Emergency care is one of the most important services of Culpeper Memorial Hospital. With the opening of the Alice H. Strauss Emergency Department, the community received an excellent facility designed to meet the medical and personal needs of our patients and families.

"The Strauss Emergency Department is a significant improvement in health care in our area,” said Dr. Michael Bost, medical director. "The department has state-of-theart equipment and plenty of space for treating the number and variety of cases we see.”

Covering 5,100 square feet, the new department has eight treatment areas surrounding the central nursing station: trauma room, cardiac room, observation room, minor procedures room, and four examination rooms.
