Holiday closings listed
The following businesses and county government offices will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day:
The Rappahannock Social Services Department; the Rappahannock Library and the Rappahannock Health Department.
Family Guidance Services of Rappahannock will also be closed. In case of an emergency, clinic staff may be reached by calling 675-3329.
The Rappahannock National Bank in Washington and the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Flint Hill will be closed.
The Rappahannock Public Schools and Wakefield School in Huntly will also be closed.
Area post offices will be closed as well.
The Rappahannock News will also be closed. Early advertising deadlines for the May 30 issue are as follows: combo real estate display advertising is 3 p.m. Thursday, May 23; combo display and classified advertising is 3 p.m. Friday, May 24 and local display and classified advertising is noon Tuesday, May 28.
