His wife is very happy with her job as a nurse at the University of Virginia Hospital, working with patients who are preparing for outpatient surgery, he said, and she is not interested in moving closer to Rappahannock. “So I’ll have to look for something closer to home.”

He is finishing his third year as elementary principal. Before that he was assistant principal at the high school for a year.

Before coming to Rappahannock Mr. Chesshir worked for four years as a “reliability engineer” testing products for the Sperry Corporation in Charlottesville. He also taught physics, earth science and mathematics for 12 years and was assistant principal at King William High School.
