Venus Jones’s mix of rock ’n’ roll and dance music is very popular in the county, and usually attracts big crowds whenever they give one of their regular performances at the Washington Fire Hall.
“This really came out of an effort on Venus Jones’s part to have a dance where these kids could come and have fun,” said Mrs. Carney.
Mrs. Coon mentioned that Venus Jones wanted to put on some sort of benefit, “and I piped up and said, how about the educational foundation?" said Mrs. Carney.
Tickets are $2 for children and parents get in free. The event will be chaperoned, so parents can drop kids off. The
