With spring’s burst into summer comes the familiar sounds of carnivals and parades.
To begin the season, the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company hosts the county’s first carnival of the year May 29 to June 1 on the fire department grounds in Sperryville.
West Virginia Amusements open rides and games on Wednesday evening, family night at the carnival. Ride all the rides for $5.
Floats and fire trucks and pretty ladies in a row are just some of the delights the annual Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company Firemen’s Parade brings to town.
The parade lineup begins at 7 p.m. at the comer of Route 231 and U.S. 522 in Sperryville and will travel through town to conclude at the carnival grounds.
