It’s food and folks and fun in Rappahannock County this Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27.
The various forms of entertainment stretch from one end of the county to the other offering local citizens and visitors everything from high school plays to alumni basketball to crafts and crafters to authentic American Indian demonstrations to music and wine to theatre with acting workshops.
Rappahannock County is celebrating Memorial Day 1991 with gusto.
To honor and salute Memorial Day with respect and prayer, the Rev. Jennings Hobson III of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington offers a “simple service in the Quiet Place” opposite the church on the comer of Gay and Middle streets in Washington on Monday.
The noon service “is an offering to the community for those who would like to remember a broader sense of Memorial Day other than just the military” salute, Rev. Hobson said.
