Tammy Dwyer
receives 4.0
Tammy Dwyer of Sperryville recently completed a business course at Lord Fairfax Community College and received a 4.0 average for the semester with a 3.5 overall.
Tammy is employed at The Faith Mountain Company as Customer Service Resource Operations manager. Tammy will also be attending Lord Fairfax in the fall to obtain a business degree.
She is the daughter of Linda Dwyer and Richard Dwyer, both of Sperryville.
Mr. Thomasson
finishes course
After completion of an intensive three-year home study program, Timothy E. Thomasson of Scrabble has graduated “with highest honors” from NRI Schools’ Building Construction Course.
Harold B. Reeb, President of NRI, an educational division of McGraw-Hill, awarded Mr. Thomasson five Achievement Awards, citing his unusual accomplishment of achieving “Highest Honors” on all five units of the diverse program.
NRI’s building construction study program covers all aspects of residential design, specifications, and construction.
Mr. Thomasson, who last year completed construction of his own home near Scrabble, came to Rappahannock County two years ago with wife, Laura. Their daughter, Anna, was born in Rappahannock.
After receiving his apprentice and journeyman training in the Washington, D.C. area, he moved to Rappahannock to assume responsibility as lead carpenter for Country Turnkey Properties, Inc., a family business specializing in log and timberframe homes.
