Gid Brown church homecoming
The Gid Brown Bible Church will hold an old-fashioned homecoming all day June 2.
The day starts with singing at 10 a.m. by the Corbetts of Resaca, Ga.
Joe Boland of Hinton, W.Va. will preach at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served from 12:30 p.m.-l :30 p.m.
St Peter’s groundbreaking
St. Peter's Catholic Church will hold a groundbreaking for a new church at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 26. The new structure will be built across from the Child Care and Learning Center on U.S. 211-522 at Washington. The groundbreaking will take place there.
The reception will take place at Greenfield Farm.
