Thomas Michael Exton, son of Lt. Gen. and Mrs. Hugh Exton of Amissville, was graduated from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, at commencement held Sunday. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He was a graduate of Wakefield High School in Arlington and attended Milton Academy in Milton, Mass, prior to entering the University.

The Washington Town
Council signed a contract to purchase the new town well site at its regularly-scheduled meeting May 13. Meeting for the closing of the agreement to buy a portion of the Updike farm just outside Washington were the council members, Mrs. Clara Updike, Mrs. Updikes’s attorney, Douglas Baumgardner. The property being discussed at Wednesday’s session was the site judged most likely by the state geologist,«to produce a good water supply.
Keith Settle, a rising senior at RCHS, has been selected to attend Boys State this Summer.
