Mr. Cordani's letters
Our coverage of the Sheriffs Office race between Roger Cordani and two-term incumbent Sheriff John Henry Woodward inspired two letters this week from Mr. Cordani’s campaign, one from the candidate himself. Mr. Cordani plainly feels slighted by the article (“Challenger to run against incumbent sheriff,” May 9), and says he was misled by this paper when we interviewed him.
Mr. Cordani apparently doesn’t want to let the facts stand in the way of a good argument. The fact is that if Mr. Cordani had an “understanding the article would inform county citizens of my goals as sheriff, not provide a forum in which my opponent could demonstrate the profitability of the office under his leadership,” it wasn’t this paper that gave him such an understanding.
