Sperryville will hold its annual Memorial Day Festival, sponsored by the Sperryville Business Council, this weekend May 25, 26 and 27, with most festive activities occurring on Saturday and Sunday. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. all three days, rain or shine.
There will be special sales, antiques, crafts, arts, entertainment, food, games for the children and lots more located throughout the town.
At Country Manor there will be an overstock catalog tent sale and basketweaving demonstrations by Warren Henry of Luray.
Festive foods can be found at the Woodsmoke Cafe. Woodsmoke will also host a barbecue at the Sperryville Antique Market, where special antique discounts can be found.
Southern Drawl Artworks will host Moses Gentry playing the blues, and as always fine arts can purchased here.
Arts, crafts, festive foods, special furniture sales and games for the children can be found at That Sperryville Emporium.
Faith Mountain Company will provide continuous live entertainment both days with a magic show by the Fearless Airborne Conjury. Harold and Boyd from Charlottesville will play classic rock music. Also free refreshments, herb dips and lemonade can be sampled here.
And of course, everything from lamp shades to crafts to that special Christmas ornament can be found at The Church Mouse.
Country Home Antiques will feature wine tasting on Saturday and John Cheatwood will be doing storytelling on Saturday and Sunday afternoons under the Sycamore tree.
