Lacrosse has returned to Wakefield Country Day School.
Recently the new middle school team battled a Shenandoah County Lacrosse Club team on their home field.
Although lacrosse was once a sport for Wakefield in past years, this is the first season for a brand new team.
Shenandoah County started off strong, leading the Owls with a score of 1-4 with 5 minutes left in the first period.
After a strategic regrouping, the Owls began the second period by scoring instantly. Shenandoah County quickly responded but that was followed by scoring from James Silva taking the score to 3-5.
