Czekqj said that he wants to serve as a “facilitator" to the different athletic teams at the school. “The first thing I want to do is create an open line of communication with the coaches and find out what they need and what we can do for them,” he said. Czekaj added that each coach would be given flexibility to run their athletic season and accomplish their goals for their respective programs.
Czekaj admitted that his duties will take a lot of time but did not foresee that being a .problem. “I already spend a lot of my time at the school so it won’t be that different,” said Czekaj. “I might be doing some different things but I think I have already demonstrated that I am committed.”
Czekaj will replace current athletic director J.D. Almond who resigned last month. His resignation takes effect June 30.
