Assault
A woman on Hinson’s Ford Road called 911 alleging that her boyfriend had hit her with a broomstick during an argument. RCSO Deputy Angela Deavers reported to the scene arresting Rodney Johnson, 57, of Amissville, Va. for simple assault. The incident occurred on April 25 at about 3:54 a.m.
Missing money
An employee of Rappahannock Cellars called on April 24 to report that they were missing $800 cash. $704 was taken out of a file cabinet and $100 was missing from their tip bowl. The theft occurred sometime on April 23 and the case is under investigation.
Propane burglary
The owner of a weekend home on Hunters road reported on May 5 that his home was burglarized. The back door had signs of forced entry, 8 single propane tanks, jumper cables, and a grease gun were reported missing. The theft is believed to have taken place between May 1 to May 5 and the case is still under investigation.
