While Jamestown celebrates its 400th anniversary in grand style, Rappahannock County remembered their birthday 50 years ago. This picture was taken in 1957 on the front porch of Cox’s Tavern in Washington, Va. during the celebration of Jamestown’s 350th anniversary. Those in the picture are: Top row, Left to right: Anne Davis, Sarah Frizzell, Dana Snead, Kaye Johnston and Dottie Davis. Bottom row, left to right: Susan Davis (I think) and John Lee Taylor.
