healthy, attractive, and affordable for all income levels. As Rappahannock looks to increase its supply of affordable housing, it can demohstrate environmental leadership by creating homes that use_20-50 percent less energy than average construction.
Housing also isn’t affordable if transportation costs overwhelm residents. Traditional neighborhood design - walkable communities with a mix of uses and housing types - provides the model for increasing housing opportunities in ways that complement Rappahannock’s historic villages and reduce household driving.
