artists, Connie ana nm Frieson, at an art conference in Chicago. Though they’ve been artists and married for much longer, they have been inspiring mural projects together for the past 10 years.
The artists arrived at the school last Monday loaded with nearly 500 square feet of blank murals and paint to cover them all. The original vision was to paint one large mural measuring 8 by 25 feet that would be placed in front of the school, and 26 smaller ‘muralettes’ measuring 2 by 4 feet that would be auctioned off at a later date.
