Taylor honored
as captain
Brian Taylor of Sperryville was selected to one of two Rank Captain Positions for the 2007-2008 Tuba Section of Virginia Tech’s Marching Virginia’s Band. The Rank Captain oversees 11 tuba players and is responsible for learning the music, marching drills, and assisting band members under his direction. The Tuba Section also performs the “Hokie Pokie” during the 4th Quarter Stretch at the football games. Rank Captains are appointed through an interview process with The Marching Virginian’s Band Director Dave McKee. Assistant Band Director, Vyill Peterson, ana Executive Officer, Josh Seager, of the Marching Band, who is appointed by members of The Marching Band. Brian is the son of Tom and Cheryl Taylor of Sperryville.
