Our children embody the hopes and dreams of us as mothers, as well as those of the generations of mothers who came before us. Among my greatest joys, and certainly one priority in life, is being a mother and grandmother. Each visit with my grandchildren is a reminder of the responsibility, joy, and sometimes sorrow, that is part of being a parent. Our visits to Florida and Washington State children and grandchildren are all too few.
