Theatre Notes
. If you ex\joy the light hearted, frothy music of operetta, you’ll love the second half of Saturday’s concert at the Theatre on Gay Street. Music of Sigmund Romberg, Franz Lehar, Victor Herbert, Jacques Offenbach and Johann Strauss celebrate “King Champagne”, romance and high spirits. The earlier part of the evening’s entertainment is drawn from operas by Puccini and Verdi. Bringing all this music to the Theatre will be the soprano Jacqueline Neimat, tenor Darnel Holmes, pianist George Peachey and — putting the songs in context - narration from Elizabeth Daniels.
