The AmissviDe United Methodist Women will be holding their annual church yard sale rain or shine on Friday, May 18 from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. and Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. -2 p.m. Lunch will also be available. All proceeds benefit the women’s mission work from the local to the international level. The church is located on Rt. 211 eastbound in Amissville.
The Rappahannock United Methodist Charge is hosting an annual three-day preaching series, Proclaim the Word, May 21-23. All worship services begin at 7 p.m. Sperryville UMC will host the Monday service. Guest preachers will be Rev. Doug and Rev. Syd Stewart from Marshall UMC. Tuesday, May 22, Rev. Sherry Waddell will be at Willis Chapel UMC. Special music will be provided by the Singing Blessings of God. A pot luck meal is planned for 6 p.m. at the Reager School, Huntly. The final service is at Flint Hill with Mr. Chris Schafer preaching. Mr. Schafer is a student at Wesley Theological Seminary. Richard Brady will offer special music.
