Rappahannock scored in the first inning after lead-off hitter Amanda Smoot knocked single and moved around the bases to third with a steal and a passed ball. With two outs, Christina Naramore hit a fly ball to right field that dropped past the' Cougars outfielder, allowing Smoot to score.

The Panthers scored again in the fourth after Heflin got on base with a walk and advanced to third with two passed balls. With one out, Stephens laid down a sacrifice bunt that brought Heflin home. Rappahannock 28, George Mason 0

Rappahannock reeled off 29 hits at George Mason on May 1 in a game that ended after five innings due to the Virginia High School League's mercy rule.
