Charlottesville artist Jeannine Barton Regan will be exhibiting a stunning new collection of textural watercolors at R.H. Ballard Art, Rug & Home, in Washington, VA, May 12 - June 3.
An afternoon reception will take place at the gallery, from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, May 12. The public is invited.
“Places of Refuge,” refers to Jeannine’s use of boat and water images as a symbol for, and transport to, places of reflection and-Tejuvenation. As a psychologist, she sees her paintings in psychological terms, creating a tension through symbols, atmosphere and color. She conveys these aspirations with a deft hand and great insight to create beautiful and moving images that inspire and awe the viewer.
