Monday when the supervisors unanimously approved a new amendment to the county’s zoning ordinance.
The amendment allows professional offices in the General Commercial Overlay District to operate with an unlimited number of employees.
The district is located on U.S. 211 between the Farmer’s Cooperative and the American Image Salon. Mountainside Medicine is the only professional office currently located in the district.
In contrast to the board’s February meeting, which drew a large crowd that mostly supported McCue’s rezoning request, only two citizens weighed in on the proposed amendment Monday. Konick also spoke briefly.
“I think the board ought to think about some of the other implications of what you’re doing because there are some other places in the county where this might apply - and having no limitation at all might not be such a good idea,”
