At the school board meeting of September 14, board members discussed the financial report prepared by the Culpeper accounting firm of Young, Nicholas and Mills at the conclusion of their yearly audit, with recomhiendations that certain minor changes be made in several of the schools' financial procedures and controls.

School Superintendent Robert Estabrook emphasized that the overall compliance of the school system with accepted accounting procedures was good. “There are no major concerns here," he said. “We are not in violation of any important controls.”
