Mrs. Mary Marie Spicer, 77, of Stevensburg died on Wednesday, September 15, 1982, at her residence.
A native of Amissville, she was the daughter of the late Turner R. and Annie Louise Rollins Hitt. Her husband was the late John Lewis Spicer. She was a member of Stevensburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Lewis Spicer of Fredericksburg, William Lee Spicer of Richmond and Franklin Spicer of Stevensburg; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Paden of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Peggy Loughman of Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Barbara Hawkins and Mrs. Marian Lanier, both of Annandale; nine grandchildren and six great ,grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Edmond A. Hitt of Harrisonburg and Wilson Hitt of Frederick, Md. and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Eisenman of Amissville.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper, with burial in Hillcrest Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton.
