First Baptist Activities

The First Baptist Church Ushers Board will celebrate its anniversary on Sunday . October 3 at 3 p.m. The Rev. Sidney Jones of Centreville will be guest speaker. Ushers from the area churches are invited to attend in uniform if possible.

There will be a song service directly following the regular 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday. October 3 at First Baptist. Music will be provided by the young adults of the church. The Rev. W.R. Grant is pastor of First Baptist and invites the public to attend.

Talent Program

The Senior Choir of First Baptist Church will sponsor a talent program on Saturday. October 6, at 7 p.m. at the church. The public is invited to attend and participate.

Missionaries

Mount Lebanon Baptist Church invites the public to hear the missionaries who will be speaking September 23-26 at 7:30 p.m.

C.T. Edmondson, a state missionary, will be speaking Thursday night. Miss Lolete Dotson, a nurse from Bophuthatswana, will speak Friday evening. Saturday night Rev. John Ross, a home missionary from Florida, will share information about his many activities. Dr. Phillip Rodgerson 1 from Richmond will be the Sunday morning speaker, while Mrs. Erica Morris will be speaking in the evening. Mrs. Morris lives in the Philippines 1 but works with the people of Malaysia.

Piedmont Environmental Council will hold its annual meeting and issues conference and awards * program on September 25 at the Judge Advocate General’s Building on the University of Virginia Campus in Charlottesville. 1 The conference is open to the public on a spaceavailable basis.
