mittees of the Rappahannock Charge was held at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 14. Present were the Rev. Merlin Shorb, H. S. Barksdale, Mr. and Mrs. Orley Seal, Dennis Williams, Cecil Williams, Julian Brown, Hugh Chrisman and Polly Aylor.
Mrs. Guy Foster Sr. and Betty entertained at a birthday dinner at their home on Sunday in honor of Mrs. Foster’s son-in-law, Henry Beaumer. Guests included Mrs. Beaumer and Trina of Manassas, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Foster Jr., Rhonda, Kristie and Butch of Sperryville, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Foster and Rocky, Mrs. Gathie Fincham and Mrs. Mary Blaisdell.
Mrs. Ida Trymeyer of Baltimore, Md. was a Thursday guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Smoot.
M. H. Brady attended car races at Dover, Del. over the weekend.
Mrs. Eleanor Timmons of Alexandria is spending some time with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Curtis.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster were in Hartwood on Sunday and were joined by Mrs. Irvin Corbin who accompanied them to Fredericksburg where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Mike Corbin. Mike, the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Foster was injured in a fall recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard attended a cookout at the home of Rue Purcell at Woodbridge on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Cloud of Fredericksburg spent Friday and Saturday in the Lillard home. Also visiting on Friday was Mrs. Grant Patton, Helen and Joy of Stephens City.
Keith Kinsey of Front Royal was a weekend guest of his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huff.
Mrs. Moffett Brady spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crane at Lanham, Md. She spent Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCulloch in Fairfax. On Saturday Mrs. Brady attended the wedding of her grandson, E. J. Pullen to Beverly Atkins in Warrenton. Mrs. Mary Brady also attended the wedding and accompanied Mrs. Brady to her home. Mrs. Nellie Pritchett spent Friday and Saturday with Mrs. Richard Williams and family at Front Royal. The Flint Hill Womens Society of Christian Service met on Monday with Mrs. B. J. Wood in Front Royal with 14 members present.
