Garden Clubs

The Virginia Federation of Garden^ Clubs, Inc. of Shenandoah District will hold the fall district meeting on October 14 at Shrine Mont in Orkney Springs.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and coffee will be served by members of the Mt. Jackson Garden Club. During registration members and guests will be able to buy bulbs, dried materials, state cookbooks and books on horticulture and artistic design.
This year’s program will be “Holiday Decorating” using found and contrived materials, and will be presented by Mrs. Aaron Zuckerman and Mrs. Edwin Speakman of Winchester.
Mrs. Zuckerman is a Life Flower Show Judge and currently serves as recording secretary for the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. Mrs. Speakman is a National Council Accredited Flower Show Judge and both flower designers are members of the Glen Burnie Garden Club in Winchester.
The meeting is open to all Federated Garden Club members and their guests. The cost for the day’s events will be S10 and registration must be received by October 8. No refunds will be returned after that date. Registration may be made with Mrs. Robert J. Rea; Mt. Jackson, Virginia 22842.
