pleased to report that my oldest son, Wynn Voeks, who was Wakefield's center forward for years, has just made the inter-collegiate varsity soccer team at Mary Washington College, where he is enrolled as a freshman. I think it is significant that he is the only team member who does not come from a large suburban high school. Indeed, nearly all of the team members come from the "soccer belt” in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
