According to the information sent by the Museum, she was primarily interested in entomology but is also considered as one of the finest botanical illustrators of her time. Sibylla studied painting and then traveled to Serinam in 1698 to draw the reptiles and insects of that country from which she produced her principal work, “A History of the Insects of Serinam” in folio with 60 plates.
The material from England also noted that Sibylla’s works were in the People’s Museum in Leningrad and in museums in Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
