Two registered nurses and two social workers have joined Hospice of the Rapidan to care for terminally ill patients and their families in Fauquier and Rappahannock. The nonprofit community organization provides skilled medical care, social service and volunteer support throughout Planning District 9.

Debbie Borgstrom, R.N., a resident of Marshall, comes to Hospice of the Rapidan from The Fairfax Nursing Center in Fairfax, Va. She was formerly employed by Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton and the Blue Ridge Christian Home in Bealeton.

Darlene Palo, R.N., is a resident of Amissville with extensive experience in I V. therapy, dialysis, rehabilitation management and surgical nursing. Her qualifications include certification in Intravenous Therapy, and membership in the American Association of pain Management Nurses and the Virginia Rehabilitation Nurses Society.
