Mrs. Edith Green has returned to her home on Route 707, following major surgery in Culpeper Memorial Hospital and is recuperating satisfactorily. She has been unable to talk to everyone and through this column would like to thank her family and friends for the love shown while in the hospital and since returning home, and a special thanks to Dr. Broman and staff. May God bless each of you.
Down Castleton lane we express our sympathy to the family of Sherry Brackenridge who passed away on Tuesday. She lived on Castleton Ford Road and was laid to rest in West Virginia on Saturday.
Congratulations to Allison Baker who made the honor roll for the third nine week period at St. Luke’s school where she is a ninth grader.
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Richard Petty who has been serving on the USS LaSalle; out of Gaeta, Italy was recently awarded the Navy “E.” Ribbon. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Baker, Sr.
