Walk-in Clinics Set
The Walk-in Clinics at the Rappahannock County Health Department will be: May 8 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and May 19 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Kindergarten physicals will be held May 2 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Horse Training Showset
Moody’s Training and Riding Center will be offering horse training at Old Mill Stables in Woodville starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4. A schooling horse show will be held at 11 a.m. on May 24. Classes for all ages. For more information contact Moody Aylor at 987-8215.
Contestants Needed
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department is seeking queen contestants for their annual parade on Thursday, June 26. Queen — Ages 14-20; Princess — Ages 8-13 and Little Princess — Ages 3-7. Those interested should call Sandi Carter at 937-4218. The carnival will be held June 25-28.
Montpelier Singers To Perform
Music lovers are in for a treat when the Montpelier Singers make their Rappahannock debut on Sunday, May 4, 3:30 p.m., at the Theatre on Gay Street in Washington, Va. The Rappahannock’Association for the Arts and the Community will host the concert. Tickets are $5, and may be reserved in advance by calling RAAC at 675-3193.
Book Sale Scheduled
There will be a used curriculum and book sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 6 at Culpeper United Methodist Church, across from Safeway. All are welcome to buy or sell.
Public Talk Scheduled
“Children overcoming challenges-a spiritual perspective,” will be the focus of a free public talk by Jon Harder, CSB, a Christian Science practitioner and teacher in the John Barton Payne Community Hall, 2 Courthouse Square, Old town Warrenton, on Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. The talk is sponsored by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Warrenton, and child care will be provided at the Christian Science Reading Room, 48 Main Street.
