This past month, on April 11-13, Carver-Piedmont had 40 students attending the State Virginia Vocational Industrial Clubs of America Conference in Roanoke. There were over 5000 VICA students there competing in various contests and events.
Delma Richards, from Madison, is the State VICA Parliamentarian for the 1996-97 school year. He and the other state officers presided over all the general sessions and conducted the awards Assembly on Saturday evening.
Melissa Peer from Culpeper was elected the State VICA Vice-President and she will have the opportunity to promote vocational education throughout Virginia for the 1997-98 school year.
