In appreciation of the dozens of people who volunteer at the county’s public schools, a lovely program to say “thank you was held at the elementary school last Thursday afternoon.
-Jan Makela, Volunteer Coordinator for the schools, said that every day she finds out about someone who'has done something for the school system. The hours donated by volunteers this school year is very impressive, with 897 hours at the high school and ’ 1500 hours at the elementary school. “You folks have done so much for us and our children. You are to be commended,” said Mrs. Makela.
