schools, thanked the volunteers and told them they had given the schools a precious gift, through their helping students with reading, the computer labs, in the library, and many other ways. “You have made us a better school. Thank you,” he told the volunteers.
There were not only speakers at the program but performers as well. Dr. John Tolei Chairman of the School Board, writes his own songs and performed a couple, while playing folk guitar. His songs were in memory of Paul Nichols and his mother Liz Tole, who both volunteered at the schools. “Both Paul Nichols and my mother loved the people here. There are many ways to teach and Paul Nichols was a master,” said Dr. Tole.
