OFFICIAL VOTING INFORMATION
The Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote. In order to be eligible to vote in the Republican Primary Election, to be held on Tuesday, June 10,1997, you must register no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday May 12,1997. For the convenience of eligible citizens, the Voter Registration Office of Rappahannock County located at the address shown below will be open for registration on the preceding Saturday, May 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office at 262 A Gay Street also will be open on Saturday, May 31,1997 and on Saturday, June 7,1997 from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. for the convenience of registered voters who need to vote by absentee ballot for this election date. June 7,1997 is the last day for this election on which absentee ballots may be voted in person by qualified applicants. All requests for reasonable accommodations due to a disability should be made to the registrar with at least a 48-hour notice. You are encouraged to make application for voter registration.
