Walkathon Planned
Local Baptist Churches are sponsoring a Walkathon to benefit the Virginia Childrens baptist Home. The home is located in Salem and feeds, clothes and educates homeless children. Walkers will meet at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church on May 10 at 9:30 a.m. Anyone interested in additional information, walking or donating call 987-8137 or 987-1130.
Playgroup Forming

Yoga Classes at New Center
A five week beginners yoga course will start Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. and continue through Thursday, June 5 at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville. Open yoga classes for experienced students are offered at the center Tuesday mornings at 9&.m. and Wednesdays at 5 p.m. All classes emphasize breathing, stretching and relaxation. Democratic Meeting Set
The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will hold a special meeting at the Ki Theater in Washington on Monday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. Special guests will include Sue Scheer, former candidate for Virginia’s House of Delegates.
This is an open meeting to give Rappahannock County citizens the opportunity to meet the new Democratic candidate for the 31st District, Paul Asciolla. Anyone wishing for more information call Franklin Schmidt at 987-8410.
