In a field of eight contestants, Hollyann Gangel, daughter of Superintendent and Mrs. David Gangel, was crowned Miss Rappahannock at Saturday’s annual pageant held at Rappahannock County High School. Jennifer Thomas was first, runner up and Rachel Ann Koski was second runner up.
The atmosphere for the evening was pure excitement, and not a little confusion, as all age groups of young ladies and a few small gentlemen competed. The evening started with the smallest of the competitors — the contestants for Tiny Tot Miss Rappahannock, who really stole the show with their poise and shy smiles. Samantha Nicole Settle and Allison Brooke Magee tied for the title, while Brittany Elaine Dwyer ‘ took first runner up and Megan Noelle Early was second runner up.
Then it was the boy’s turn. Charles James “Bubba” Williams, was named Little Mister Rappahannock, whose parents Skip and Jessica * Williams and grandmother, Dyanne * Sisk Holt were thrilled. Samuel David torrance was first runner up and Tommy Anthony Fantaci was second runner up.
Sarah Elinor Elliott beat out 10 other contestants to become Wee Miss Rappahannock with Brooke Thorpe first runner up and Sarah Lynne Hetzer second runner up.
