Del. Louderback to
meet with citizens
County citizens are invited to meet with Delegate Allen Louderback in an informal setting at the Washington Fire House on Thursday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Louderback will advise attendees on the 2002 Session of the Virginia General Assembly and address topics of interest to Rappahannock citizens.
A question and answer period will follow his remarks. This public meeting is sponsored by RLEP, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, as an educational and informational program and a service to the public. For more information, call Bob Lander, 987-8504.
Absentee voting
in Town election
Absentee voting for the Washington Town Council election may be done on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the last day being Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Town Elections will be held on Tuesday, May 7 with polls opening at 6 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m. For information call County Registrar Nancy S. Spring cleanup set
spring cleanup day will be held at Washington Masonic
Cemetery on Saturday, April 27 banning at 8 a.m. Those ai^hding should bring gardening foots. Light refreshments will be available.

Committee to meet
The Rappahannock County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet on Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. in the Virginia.- ’ Extension Service conference room. Shown will be a short video tape on origins and purpose of the LEPC, followed by a discussion of a proposed addition to the Emergency Plan dealing with terrorism.
All are reminded that information on emergency planning, material safety data sheets and the County Emergency Operations Plan are available at the Office of Emergency Management in the Magistrate’s Office in Washington. For information call 675-5386 or 6755385.

• Monday, April 29, the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Rappahannock County High School auditorium at 7 p.m. on the budget submitted by the Rappahannock School Board for the fiscal year commencing July 1,2002.
