In Wispy Wildflowers, an acrylic painting on canvas, Hall has executed a beautiful painting of a casual summer arrangement of wildflowers. The vase and the table on whiph it sits seem to echo each other in colors and brushwork. The wildflowers are repeated in deb icate shadows on the background that reinforce the vibrancy of the real flowers. Negative spaces between the spires of flowers and leaves are echoed by the shadow patterns they cast on the table. Reality and illusion become briefly merged but the juicy peach in the foreground completely clarifies the issue.
