Biographical Sketch

Originally a native of

Northern California, and

then a Northern Virginian for some thirty years, I am now a “come here and stay here”. My first introduction to the Town of Washington was a visit to a friend’s home almost twenty years ago; it’s a dream come true to finally be living here!

My pride and joy are my two adult children. My son Cary is married, lives in Philadelphia and has his own software company. My daughter Jennifer is a junior at the University of Memphis majoring in business. When we are together, we enjoy cooking, sailing, and great camaraderie.

No one spoke eithdr for or against the application during the public hearing, but a number of the Commissioners noted their concerns about the potential for parking problems at the location. Mr. Junk asked that parking for the flea market and for the apartments be distinguished through the use of signs designating the locations for each, and he also asked about approval by the water and sewer authority. He asked for the applicant to encourage people to park in designated areas. He also expressed his feeling that the conversion of the motel units to apartments was “squeezing the site too hard.”
